Bulgaria was elected in the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

 

Bulgaria was elected as State Member to the
UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage 

Today, on 4 June 2014, during the third day of the Fifth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Convention 2003), Bulgaria together with Hungary was elected as member of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage for 2014-2018.
States Members to the Committee are elected for a term of four years, and every two years, the General Assembly shall renew half of them. A State Member of the Committee may not be elected for two consecutive terms.
