The annual session of the General Assembly of the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in South- Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO starts today, 05.03.2013, at 10h in Hall 7 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
The session was opened by the Executive Director of the Centre – Ms Oli Grueva and has started by a welcome speech by the Deputy Minister of Culture arch. George Stoev. Opening remarks have been made by Ms Yolanda Valle – Director of the European Regional Office of UNESCO for Culture and Science – BRESCHE.
The Chairman of the General Assembly in 2012 was Mr Frank Proschan, representative from UNESCO Headquarter in Paris, who has been reelected for the current one.
The agenda of the meeting includes discussion and adoption of the key documents of the Centre- activities report for 2012, action plan and budget for 2013, amendments to the Statutes and staffing table for the Centre.
