The Zmijanje embroidery was inscribed in 2014 in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a complex embroidery technique using one colour of thread, black or blue. It is traditional for the villages of Zmijane district in Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina and features rich ornaments. The Zmijanje embroidery collection belongs to the “Textiles” fund of the Ethnographic department of the Museum in Republika Srpska in Banja Luka.
